6 Best Tapcart Alternatives for Shopify in 2026
Tapcart is a capable, well-established app builder. It is also the most expensive entry point in the category at $500/mo for its Growth plan, with AI push automation a further $250/month on top. If that is your sticking point, there are six real alternatives — and they are not all cheaper.
Every price below was checked against the vendor's own pricing page on 14 August 2026, with the source linked on each entry. Apple Developer Program $99/year and Google Play $25 one-off apply whichever builder you choose.
Dzine Your App is our own product and appears first on this list. We have tried to earn that placement honestly by naming what each competitor does better than us and by quoting only verified prices — including the two options that cost more than Tapcart, which we could easily have left out.
At a glance
| Builder | Entry price | First year | Best for |
|---|---|---|---|
| Tapcart (for reference) | $500/mo | $6,000 | Established brands with proven mobile revenue |
| Dzine Your App | $99/mo | $1,188 | Lowest entry price, setup included |
| Shopney | $149/mo | $1,788 | Best mid-market DIY option |
| MageNative | Check current listing | Not published | Best if you sell on several platforms |
| Appmaker | $999/mo | $11,988 | Best for teams with developers |
| Superfans | $1,000/mo | $12,000 | Best for live selling and community |
| MobiLoud | $1,499/mo | $22,988 | Best for heavily customised storefronts |
First-year figures are twelve months of the entry plan plus any published one-off setup fee. They exclude revenue share and usage charges, which depend on your volume.
The six alternatives
1. Dzine Your App — Lowest entry price, setup included
$99/mo at entry · $1,188 first year
Our own product, so weigh this entry accordingly. It is on the list because it is the cheapest credible option at $99 a month and the only one that includes done-for-you setup on every plan rather than handing you an editor.
- $99/mo flat, no revenue share, no setup fee.
- Abandoned-cart push included in the entry plan.
- Done-for-you setup; most brands live in under 48 hours.
- 7-day free trial with no card.
- We are the youngest tool here. Our integration list is shorter than Tapcart's and there are fewer public reviews of us to read. If a specific third-party integration is load-bearing for your store, check it before switching.
2. Shopney — Best mid-market DIY option
$149/mo at entry · $1,788 first year
The most direct like-for-like swap for Tapcart at a third of the price. Silver is $149 a month, and a 30-day free trial gives you a genuinely useful evaluation window.
- $149/mo entry, roughly 70% below Tapcart.
- 30-day free trial — the longest on this list.
- Native in-app live chat from the entry plan.
- Annual billing cuts about 20% off every tier.
- Tier placement is the catch. Abandoned-cart push needs Gold at $299/mo and segmented push needs Platinum at $599/mo, which is more than Tapcart's entry plan.
3. MageNative — Best if you sell on several platforms
Check current listing at entry · Not published first year
The only option here that spans Shopify, Magento and WooCommerce. If Shopify is one storefront among several, one vendor across all of them has real operational value.
- Covers multiple commerce platforms from one vendor.
- Long track record across several ecosystems.
- Historically the lowest-cost tier of the established tools.
- Pricing is published through its Shopify App Store listing rather than a pricing page, so we cannot quote a verified figure — check the listing directly. Being multi-platform also means the Shopify integration is less specialised.
4. Appmaker — Best for teams with developers
$999/mo at entry · $11,988 first year
Aimed at teams who need to extend the app itself rather than configure it. Deep customisation and developer access, priced accordingly at $999 a month.
- Developer access and a large extension library.
- Genuine customisation beyond template configuration.
- Enterprise tier for highly bespoke builds.
- It charges 1% of in-app sales on top of the monthly fee, so your cost rises twice as the app succeeds. At $999/mo it is also twice Tapcart's entry price — this is not a cost-saving swap.
5. Superfans (formerly Vajro) — Best for live selling and community
$1,000/mo at entry · $12,000 first year
Formerly Vajro, rebranded to Superfans. Built around live selling and community features rather than a straight catalogue app, which is a different product category in practice.
- Live-selling and community tools the others do not have.
- Single plan, so no tier-hopping to unlock features.
- Pricing bands scale with your annual revenue.
- A $1,000/mo single plan with no lower tier, so there is no cheap way in. The Vajro-to-Superfans rebrand also makes older reviews hard to match to the current product.
6. MobiLoud — Best for heavily customised storefronts
$1,499/mo at entry · $22,988 first year
Takes a different technical approach: it converts your existing site into an app, so the app inherits every custom feature your storefront already has. Powerful, and priced at the top of the market.
- Your app inherits all existing storefront customisation.
- Unlimited push notifications included.
- Ongoing maintenance handled by the vendor.
- By far the highest total cost here: $1,499/mo plus a $5,000 one-off setup fee on a 12-month agreement, and 10,000 monthly active users included before $50 per additional 1,000. First year lands near $23,000.
How to pick
Price is the constraint
Start with Dzine Your App at $99/mo or Shopney at $149/mo. Both are flat fees with no commission. Check which tier includes abandoned-cart push, because that is the feature that pays for the tool.
Bandwidth is the constraint
If nobody on your team has time to build the app, a cheap licence for a self-build tool will just sit unused. Prioritise done-for-you setup over the lowest monthly price.
You need deep customisation
Appmaker for developer access, or MobiLoud if your storefront has heavy custom functionality the app must inherit. Both cost more than Tapcart, so this is a capability decision rather than a savings one.
You sell beyond Shopify
MageNative is the only option here covering Magento and WooCommerce alongside Shopify. Confirm current pricing on its Shopify App Store listing.
Frequently asked questions
- Why look for a Tapcart alternative?
- Price is the most common reason. Tapcart's entry plan, Growth, is $500/month, billed before the app sells anything, and its AI push notification automation is a further $250/month add-on. Alternatives start at $99–$149/month for comparable core functionality.
- What is the cheapest Tapcart alternative?
- Dzine Your App at $99/month is the lowest entry price among established Shopify app builders, followed by Shopney at $149/month. Both are flat monthly fees with no commission on sales. Note that an Apple Developer Program account ($99/year) and Google Play registration ($25 one-off) apply whichever tool you choose.
- Which Tapcart alternative launches fastest?
- Dzine Your App includes done-for-you setup on every plan and most brands go live in under 48 hours of build time. Shopney, Tapcart and Appmaker all expect you to build the app yourself, so launch speed depends on your team's bandwidth. Every option is then subject to Apple's app store review queue, which typically adds a few days.
- Do these alternatives all support push notifications?
- Yes, but what is included differs sharply by plan. Dzine Your App includes abandoned-cart push in its $99 Starter plan. Shopney requires Gold at $299/month for abandoned-cart push and Platinum at $599/month for segmentation. Tapcart includes segmented push on Growth but charges $250/month extra for AI automation. MobiLoud includes unlimited push on its Business plan.
- Do any of them charge a percentage of sales?
- Appmaker charges 1% of in-app sales on top of its monthly fee. Tapcart, Shopney, MobiLoud and Dzine Your App do not take any commission on sales. MobiLoud instead meters monthly active users, charging $50 per 1,000 above its 10,000 included.
- Is it hard to migrate away from Tapcart?
- Less than most merchants expect. Your products, customers and orders live in Shopify, not in the app builder, so migration means rebuilding your app screens in the new tool and submitting a new binary to the App Store and Play Store. Two things to plan for: confirm your critical third-party integrations are supported, and expect to rebuild your push subscriber list, since push tokens are tied to the app installation.
